Yegor Shevchenko was born in Tajikistan into a family of artists, where creativity and craftsmanship were part of everyday life. From a young age, he was fascinated by how things worked—building simple electrical circuits with wire, small motors, batteries, and bulbs. In 2000, Yegor and his family immigrated to the United States, bringing with them determination, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to build a new future from the ground up.
Before entering the electrical field, Yegor gained experience in construction, warehouse operations, and even worked as a designer and artist. He eventually found his calling in the electrical trade while working in a small two-person shop, later joining Sunlight Electric in 2003. He completed his apprenticeship and earned his journeyman status with the company, remaining through both the challenges of the 2007 recession and the growth that followed in the industry.
Today, Yegor serves as the Operations Manager of the Residential Department, where he focuses on customer service, workflow coordination, and supporting project success. He currently holds a Signing Supervisor’s License and has played a key role in streamlining many processes—ranging from administrative functions to production workflows—that have significantly improved overall efficiency.
Yegor is known as an innovator, always striving to do better, work smarter, and lead with purpose. His loyalty, persistence, and forward-thinking approach continue to bring lasting value to Sunlight Electric and its team.
